Described on its Patons archive hand written swing tag as a ‘Jacket (pink with ribbons)' this is most likely a bed jacket. Hand knitted for an adult in pink wool it has complex shaping in the front and back with a scalloped bottom edge formed by a lace border. Front and back knitted in one piece. Sleeves knitted flat and seamed with a decorative edging. The front edgings are crochet and the front edge is fastened with concealed poppers. Featuring waist shaping and lace. Scalloped crochet border

Ladies underwear in black & green

Hand knitted breeches in green and black wool knitted together. Knitted in two pieces and seamed. Elastic through eyelet holes in ribbing at waist. Legs have k1p1 rib at bottom edge. Patons archive hand written swing tag says “Ladies Knickers Black & Green Mixture”

The main feature of this underwear is the knitted lace edging/insertion. White knickers with deep lace edge around bottom edge of legs. Knitted in two main pieces with sewn in gusset and side seams.

Red wool knickers. Knitted in a textured stitch, the legs are knitted in the round. The body section has a seam at centre front and back. Ribbons threaded through at waist and leg bottom edge. Top edge is moss stitch folded to make the casing for broad elastic. Patons archive hand written swing tag says ‘Published 1896 but knitted in 1960s’.
