About

The Knitting & Crochet Guild

The Knitting & Crochet Guild celebrates the best of knitting and crochet and helps both its members and the wider public learn more about these crafts. We care about the heritage of knitting and crochet in the UK and we want to preserve that while also inspiring knitters and crocheters everywhere to make new and beautiful things. We are run by a team of volunteers and our activities are funded by subscriptions and donations.

Please visit our main website to find out more about the Guild.

We occasionally run open days, but you may visit us by prior arrangement by contacting collections@kcguild.org.uk. Please remember that the Collection is run by volunteers who have to fit their volunteering around other obligations.

Patterns

There are thousands of publications and patterns in the Guild's collection, and copies of many are available to members, for their own personal use. Some are available for download, but others you need to request by email to collections@kcguild.org.uk.

A note on copyright: publications that are less than 70 years old (and many older publications too) are still in copyright. We only provide members with publications that are either out of copyright, we believe, or we have permission from the copyright owner to make copies for Guild members.
